SYNOPSIS
The play "Black Comedy" opens with Brindsley Miller and his fiancée Carol Melkett in complete darkness, having stolen antiques from their neighbour to impress a wealthy art collector, Georg Bamberger. When a fuse blows, the stage lights up, revealing the chaos that ensues as the couple tries to return the stolen goods before their guests arrive.
Along with their uninvited visitors, including Brindsley's ex-mistress Clea and the alcoholic Miss Furnival, they try to navigate the darkened apartment while attempting to keep their secrets hidden.
The arrival of the real electrician and Georg Bamberger throws the group into confusion, leading to a series of hilarious and disastrous events, culminating in a final blackout.

When Miss Pickhart visits Ratchet, an illusionist, at his home on official Town Hall business, she discovers some dark and sinister secrets from his past. Left alone in the cellar when Ratchet is called away, Miss Pickhart is confronted by the ‘ghost’ of Rosalinda who met with an untimely death as they performed the
saw-the-woman-in-half trick.
The ghost believes it was not an accident and calls upon Miss Pickhart to release her. In order to do this Miss Pickhart has to, in effect, re-live that fateful night and climb into the cabinet. It seems as though she too is to meet a grim death until the play takes on an unexpected twist.
