Stories of Audition Rejections and Lessons Learned

Have you ever auditioned for musical theatre company, TV or school show and been told “Thank you for your audition but……” ? 

 

Of course, there’s a list of reasons of why you didn’t get the role:

• You need more experience 

• You don’t have “the right look”

• You’re too old 

• You’re too young 

• You’re not the right gender for the role 

There are more reasons, but you get my point. 

 

Or maybe you hadn't found the courage yet to audition, saying to yourself "next time" but it's now been five "next times" later. 

 

With over 20 years of experience at being rejected for roles and TV singing competitions, I know how it feels, missing out on those opportunities.

Bring your story (or stories) and songs and join me in showing the world we have the talent for those roles. 

 

This an open age show with a mix of comedy, song genres and real-life anecdotes to entertain and inspire.

Show Dates
It is not mandatory to attend all performances. Depending on the interest and availability of performers, you may be allocated performance dates.

Rehearsals
Saturday 26th July - 10am to 4pm
Meet & greet, show discussion, outfit/costume and song finalisation.
** if you cannot make this day at all, please email me your song/s and performance availability by Saturday at the latest.
If multiple people want to sing the same song, whoever puts the request in first will be given the opportunity first.

 

If you have your own backing tracks, please bring them so I can decide if they are suitable. Please try not to use YouTube karaoke.
If you don’t have a backing track, no worries, we can sort it out on Saturday.
